Winter Weather Reminders

As we all prepare for the colder weather and snow, Edgewood Borough would like to remind homeowners to keep their sidewalks clear of snow and ice.  If you will be out of town, please make plans to have a neighbor or professional shovel your walkways.  One sure sign to burglars of an unoccupied residence is a snow-filled stairway or porch.

Also, please remember that even in cold and snowy weather pet waste should be picked up and disposed of by the humans who are walking the pet.

New Allegheny County Outdoor Fire Pit Regulations

  • Fires must be at least 15 feet from the nearest dwelling or property line
  • Only clean wood, propane, natural gas, charcoal, fire logs, wood pellets and smokeless fire starters can be used.
  • Burning garbage is prohibited.

Leaf Pickup Schedule

The Edgewood Leaf Pickup Schedule for Fall is available on the Public Works page.

Curbside leaf pick-up will begin in the Borough on October 20th.  Please see the schedule for the day your street will be collected.  Remember to rake leaves to the curb no sooner than the night before your scheduled pickup, and to only includes leaves. Yard waste will not be collected.

Reminder: Lock Up!

We would like to remind our residents to please keep the doors and windows of their homes and vehicles locked! It can be easy to forget this simple step in the summer months, but please help to keep our community safe by locking up your home and cars.
